The children also wrote prayers of thanks to God for making us joyful by sending Jesus to us. All this lovely work has culminated in our prayer space-a place where children and adults will be able to take some time to reflect or take part in collective worship.
Following our work last term with the TIME project, the children took turns in leading some of the musical warm ups we learnt. Here are just a couple of examples:
We were lucky this week to enjoy a workshop by Konflux Theatre Company based on WW1.
During theme week, we researched the artist Georgia O'Keeffe and her still life work. We were inspired by her images of different flowers and linked this to Remembrance Sunday by sketching poppies and then adding colour with oil pastels.
Year 5 enjoyed tasting food from all around the world as part of our Design and Technology topic.
European Day of Languages
