HeadlicePlease ensure as part of your usual hygiene routine you check your child/ren for head lice. If you do need to treat your child please keep checking to ensure that all eggs have been removed to avoid re-infestation.

Lenten Fundraising - The classes in school will each have a designated fund raising day, on which they will plan with their teacher some fund raising activities for the rest of the children in their department. The children in Year 6 will have longer to hold their stalls as traditionally this has been a Year 6 responsibility. This week’s fundraising has raised £169.70. Thank you

The days for classes are as follows: 15th March – Class 3 and Reception Class, 22nd March – Class 4 and Class 1,

29th March – Class 5 and Class 2 & 1st – 4th April – Class 6 stalls every lunchtime

Junior Pupils Walking Home – It has been brought to our attention by a concerned member of the public that some of the older children who walk home are cutting through the wooded area of the church grounds and jumping over the wall into the Co-op car park, which is particularly busy with vehicles at that time of day. Please can you discuss this with your child to reinforce the dangers of cutting through the car park where cars and delivery lorries are reversing creating the potential for a serious accident?

PTFA Vacancy – There will be a vacancy for the role of treasurer within the PTFA at the end of the Summer term. Any parent who may be in need of some work experience and could benefit from this role, or in fact anyone who is willing to ‘give it a go’ and would like to volunteer their services, please contact the school. The PTFA will send out a letter shortly with some more details. Please note that you would be required to undergo a DBS clearance (at no cost to yourself), as part of school’s safeguarding procedures.
