Reception and Year 6 are still amazing with over 98% attendance. Well done!

Year 6 Pupils – The KS2 SAT tests are finished - Thank you to the children, parents and staff who have worked hard over the past year to prepare the children for their tests – let’s hope for good outcomes

Tri-Golf – Well done to the children in Year 4 who took part in the Tri-Golf competition yesterday at Holy Cross. They did really well with a brilliant team effort, had lots of fun and were as usual a great credit to yourselves and the school. Well done to Matilda A,Alice A, Freddie B, Clayton B, Olivia D, Ronnie O’S, Evie P, Tillie S, Tommy T, and Elliot U.

Football Festival –  Some of our Year 6’s took part in a football festival at Holy Cross on Wednesday and won all 3 of their games 1-0. Well done to Andrew G, Jasper H, Conner M, Liam P, Jack S & Matthew W.

First CommunionFirst Holy Communion will be celebrated in Church at 10am on Saturday 18th May, tea & coffee will be served after Mass in the church porch. There will be a celebration Mass in church on Friday 24th May to coincide with the Month of Mary celebrations tied in with the parish crowning of Our Lady. Parents/carers are welcome to attend and there will be a small celebration in school afterwards for the Year 4 children and their parents/carers.

RE Monitoring Visit – Next Thursday 23rd May, we have  a visit from a representative of the Liverpool Archdiocese in school. He will review the work of our school in terms of the Catholic life and Religious Education. Thankyou to all the parents who responded to our review of the School Mission and Values which will be useful to share on the day.

Mission Week – During Mission Week, we will be focusing on the mission and values of the school. We have some visitors to school to help with such themes as Respect of Differences, Respect for and Tolerance of other Faiths, Kindness, Respect for the Planet and Climate Change, Joy and Hope.

Monday – CAFOD workshop – climate change

Tiesdy – Animate Youth Ministry Team – Schoool Mission

Wednesday – M & M Production – Quasimodo

Thursday – Imran Kothal – Muslim speaker

Friday – Sports Day

Building and grounds updates – The following works will be carried out in school over the coming months.

  • A new outdoor classroom will be built on the field during this half term.
  • Our perimeter fence will be replaced over the Summer holidays.
  • Reception outdoor area will be refreshed and renewed over the rest of the term thanks to our Site Supervisor.
  • The next phase of the roof repairs will take place over the Summer holidays

Most of these works are possible due to your contributions to the Diocesan Levy without which we would not be able to access this funding.
