Snacks

Healthy snacks provide extra energy and can also provide essential vitamins and nutrients to fuel the developing body. Most children need two to three healthy snacks in addition to three meals.

 

The School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme helps your child achieve 5 a-day. All infant pupils receive daily fruit and vegetables as a mid-morning snack as part of a government funded fruit and vegetable scheme.

There is a choice of:

bananas

apples

pears

carrots

tomatoes

easy peel citrus fruits, such as satsumas.

 

Junior pupils have the opportunity to pre-order snacks at break-time where they can chose toast, crumpet or teacake for nominal costs. Likewise they are also encouraged to bring their own healthy snack. Please contact the school office if you would like to pre-order a snack for your child/ren.
