Governing Bodies should ensure that there are appropriate policies and procedures in place in order for appropriate action to be taken in a timely manner to safeguard and promote children's welfare.
At St. Joseph's, the health and safety of all children is of paramount importance. Parents send their children to school each day with the expectation that school provides a secure environment in which their children can flourish. Our school provides a caring, positive, safe and stimulating environment that promotes the social, physical and moral development of the individual child.

ENCOMPASS
Every school in the LEA receives Police Operation Encompass Notifications as soon as there is an incident in a domestic setting. School is alerted so that staff can make sure that every opportunity to support the child after what might have been a very frightening experience for them is used. The more information we have, the more we can help the child through the school day.
