Covid-19

Dear Parents

Please find information here which might be of use to any family who are unsure of the course of action to take should they suspect that thier child has Corona Virus.

If your child is unwell, you will need to provide the following information when leaving a message on the answerphone:

  • symptoms and whether you suspect Covid-19 - and if so, whether you have tested and the result
  • when symptoms started

If you or your children feel poorly with any one of the main Covid symptoms (a cough, a high temperature, a sore throat, a runny nose, a loss or change to sense of taste or smell),  please do not send children into school until they feel better. It is probably advisable to do a Covid-19 test also. If they are feeling better after 3 days, they may come back to school. Children and young people tend to be infectious to other people for less time than adults. For adults, the suggested time spent at home is 5 days.

Members of their household or contacts do not need to take lateral flow tests however, should they become unwell, they too may test to be sure that they aren't also suffering with Covid-19.
