Please find information here which might be of use to any family who are unsure of the course of action to take should they suspect that a family member or another family contact has Corona Virus. We will update this as frequently as posible to make sure that you have access to the latest guidance and local data about infection rates.
If your child is unwell, you will need to provide the following information when leaving a message on the answerphone:
- when symptoms started
- whether they have been assessed by the GP
- whether or not they have had a test
- test result if known
All school staff are testing twice weekly, but we still need to be vigilant to do our part to get through this as best we can. If you or your children feel poorly with any one of the main Covid symptoms (a new, continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss or change to sense of taste or smell), please do not send children into school, please book a PCR test, contact school and the household must self-isolate until you have received a negative result (and follow the guidance should it be a positive result). Lateral Flow Test are not advised to be used for primary aged children and must not be used where symptoms are present, it must be a PCR test (book a PCR test here). If you do have access to a lateral flow test and use it for a primary aged child, we will treat a positive result in the same way as a PCR test and isolate children and class bubbles accordingly whilst a PCR test is undertaken.
